Two adults hunting the eastern edge again, hovering low against the wind. The first cold morning of the season, and they seemed to like it.

Notes on hovering
A kestrel keeps its head almost perfectly still while the rest of the body works against the air. Watching it for ten minutes is better than most meditation apps.
